You probably think I am going to go on about how ours words have power and that what we say has an impact on others, so we should watch what we say so that we do not offend or hurt others.
Well you would be true - about the first part. I read this quote the other day and it really made me stop what I was doing and think about what I was doing. It went like this:
If the people around you were dependent on your words for nourishment, would they die of malnourishment?
Don’t just glance over it. If I were you, I would do exactly what I did and that is read over the quote a couple of times and get a grasp of what it is actually saying.
I thought about this blog. I thought about whether people relied on me to provide advice, support, encouragement, expertise or maybe even a dash of dry humour. I know a blog isn’t the end of the world but if I am not helping people or encouraging people to become better bloggers or to help them believe that they can be successful, then what is the point of me blogging.
So I guess all this Saturday night post is here to say is be the oasis in the middle of the desert. When a fellow blogger is dry and ready to give up, be the one who’s post brings refreshment.

A short note that inspires. Although it might be just a sentence long, it is a great one if it manages to inspire! Nice!
Hey Thomas,
That’s a good quote. It’s funny how a lot of bloggers just try to slap a post together in 5 minutes and expect people to read it and subscribe. If you really want to develop a large and loyal readership, it’s important to provide quality content that people can’t get anywhere else. Making them dependent on you is going to make you the daddy of all blogs in your niche.
I think that’s what the quote represents. Thanks for sharing.
Killing with words, eh? I do write interesting posts… a couple times a month.
Good one though, too many bloggers out there spit out crap and expect the visitors to flow in.
Hi,
Really the quote you have quoted will be essential for each and every individual. Words are having more power than a sword. If you use bad words, it will kill a person life long, but sword will kill only once…
This may work for the link baiting too
Although English is my second language I don’t think I’m killing my readers with my words! Besides they like what I write. Good point indeed.
Subject Line: Beat Long Poll Lines with Absentee Ballots from StateDemocracy.org
Many state and local election officials are encouraging voters to use Absentee Ballots to avoid the long lines and delays expected at the polls on November 4th due to the record-breaking surge in newly registered voters.
Voters in most states still have time to obtain an Absentee Ballot by simply downloading an official application form available through http://www.StateDemocracy.org, a completely FREE public service from the nonprofit State Democracy Foundation.
