I get out of Jail in 8 Days!

get ofut of jail

Well that is when I finish up in my job anyway!

I talked to the new owner today to tell him I was resigning, and he said I didn’t have to do the couple of days work with him in charge to make my 14 days notice, which is fantastic - so D-Day is next friday!

I am also getting the rest of my holiday pay which totals about $600 and I have a few small commission checks coming so that should keep me going for a while - I mean what does a 22y/o still living at home paying no board have to spend his money on?

We pieces are being put in position at the moment and over the next 8 days to set myself up with a running start - and I am getting quite excited!

Why Am I Excited?

Because I am working on a new project, that hopefully will be launched the first of December that I am sure will be a success (I have already had a great response from a few people I leaked it too!) So obviously the next 8 days are going to be late nights and early mornings as I prepare for the launch but it is definately going to be worth it.

Thankyou for all the kind words and encouragement that you guys gave me yesterday in relation to me announcing I was going full-time online. It was a reassurance that I was doing the right thing.

The journey has just begun so make sure you subscribe to my feed so that you don’t miss one single moment!

** Coming Soon
Yesterday I purchased a program that I have been eying off for a while, that I think will greatly increase the effectiveness of my internet marketing. I’ll be posting a quality review within a week or so once I have fully tested the capabilities.

**Sidenote Two
I have been considering video blogging for a while now and would love to hear your opinions on whether you think I should give it a go. I have been watching Mark’s lately and I think they give a much more personal touch to a blog. Let me know.

quit real estate

I went to check the mail today for work and received a certificate saying that I had completed my certificate 4 in Real Estate Sales traineeship. This is good news because I have been on a pretty low wage for the last year and it has been pretty hard work but I have learnt so much in the process - especially sales skills.

With the sale of the business most of you will know that I had talked about leaving and taking two months off to focus on my online ventures. Well today I took the first step.

I told my boss I was going to be quitting and asking him how much notice I have to give, and he told me two weeks. Which kind of sucks because the business changes hands on the 1st of December - so I will have to do a couple of days work for the new owner, but it feels like a weight has been lifted off me and I am counting down the days already!

My current boss told me I have to give the notice to the new boss and inform him of my intention to leave, so when he comes in tomorrow I will be telling him. I am hoping he just tells me not to worry about it and that I can finish up on the 30th.

The only thing that has put a damper on it is my current boss who kept telling me that I was acting like a high school student who was quitting just because he didn’t like his new boss - this is because I told him that I thought the new boss’ wife and I wouldn’t get along, which is the truth but not the whole story. It is just a bit frustrating because I don’t really want to tell him about my online ventures because he would probably find a way to turn that into a negative as well, but I guess I just have to push through and wait out these next two weeks.

I am really quite excited about these next two months now because it is not just a thought, it is reality. But it got me thinking:

If you were quitting to work on your online ventures full-time, what would you tell your boss?

free reportI know I have been plugging the benefits of report writing for a while now, but I have never actually done it before - so to be honest I have no credibility on the subject!

But that is about to change, I am currently about to go into lock down to write a small 15-20 page report for my acne blog. The report will be free - I know I talked about selling them for $7-10 each, but this is about list building and brand awareness, not money at this point in time.

So Here Is My Strategy:

1. I Focused On My Strengths - I havn’t cured my acne so I cannot promote a so called miracle cure. What I have focused on is what I know that doesn’t work - some of the myths.

2. Topic Sure To Attract Attention - I will keep this under wraps until I launch it (you never know who is reading this blog :P)

3. Written In A Conversational Tone - There is nothing worse than a ebook report that is written like a text book. This will be very easy to read, and only take 10-20min to read.
The Free report will be targetted at long term acne sufferers. This is my main target market, because :

1. They will be long term readers

2. They are the most desperate to try new products as they just want to get rid of their acne.
Will be interesting to see how it turns out, I will be getting a professionally designed ebook cover done - and hopefully I can build a decent opt-in list, and traffic to my new blog.

uncertainOver the last couple of days my work future has become a little uncertain.

My boss is looking at selling his current franchise to more onto something else, and to be quite honest if he does, then I won’t want to stay - and if he asks me to go with him, I don’t think I will.

I feel like a change, but I am not sure how to handle it.

In all honestly I would love to focus on internet marketing full time. But at the moment I don’t have the results to back myself up when it comes to explaining to my parents that I want to be a full-time internet marketer.

So over the next couple of months I really need to bump up my online workload to build my online ventures to a level that I can live off.

I don’t need anything flash, I live at home and am pretty frugal when it comes to spending money, but I want to be making some money before I finish up my current job.

And in all honestly, I really don’t want another job. I hate the idea of working for someone else, and will ever be truly happy while I am.

So keep watching this space as I use this as a motivation to take things up a notch. And if you havn’t already subscribed to my rss feed than now is the time - you will not want to miss the next couple of months of my online journey.

I know I havn’t been blogging here as recent as I would like to, but as you know I have just launched my latest blog, and to be honest - It just seems so much easier to write about acne.

I know it is said a lot, probably even too much, but my tip for you is:

Blog about what you are passionate about!
Im not saying I am not passionate about making money online, cause I am. But the thing with the topic my new blog is that:

  1. I live with it
  2. It is something I think about constantly
  3. I am constantly researching it
  4. It is a part of me

Can you say that about the subject of your blog?

If you can, then you will have no problems coming up with the next post, how to attract more visitors. You just you - because you are passionate about the subject and it drives you.

Ok that could be a little bit harsh.

But I am getting really sick of reading sales letters where it shows every single internet marketer  sitting in a lamborghini, and photos of a mansion that would cost millions of dollars.

Maybe they do own a lamborghini and live in a mansion that is fully paid off - then good on them.

But I find it hard to believe that every second internet marketer is making an absolute killing online - but don’t feel the need to show some proof.

Internet Marketing is all about hype!

How do you feel about that statement? I mean if you can get their emotions you can make the sale right? I think it is one of the lowest forms of marketing - think about a few of thoughts for a second…

  • If they were that rich from the work they have done that they talk about in their ebook - why do they need to even write an ebook?

  • If their product was as good as they say it is - do they really need to convince you to buy it? Why not let your customers, and testimonials and product benefits win them over!

Sure they may say things like:

  • Now I have learnt, I feel the need to educate others. Sure this may be true for a select few. But for the majority it is about the money (most likely because they are not as successful as they make themselves out to be)
  • Hype Sells, people need to be sold to. As I said above, if the product is as good as they make it out to be, the hype about how rich you are should not be needed.

So why the sudden rant?

I am in the process of helping a client launch her first ebook (it is my first as well), and I have been doing quite a lot of market research. Checking out almost every single clickbank product, looking at their website and sales letter, and comparing it to their success.

And I have come to the conclusion that all the gloating about how much money you are making and the flashy cars that you drive don’t really have an impact on the success of your marketing campaign.

Hopefully I can take what I have learnt, and turn my clients product into a success!
